We do this to Osage Oranges! I LOVE this illo...so subtle, yet so striking!
The dappled water colour effect looks great; warm colours and greeting of cheer! I too can smell the citrus and cloves but try to rid the after memory of rotting oranges in the cupboard.
Looks really good! Brings back a lot of good memories of decorated oranges back in Algeria.
Lovely illustraton!! I love the smell of oranges and cloves - one of the 'Christmas smells' for me. LOL!
